The effectiveness of research activities is characterized by a significant number of published methodological guidelines, monographs, textbooks, and scientific articles in domestic and international journals.
The Institute’s staff produced the following scientific and technical output:
2012 – 53 publications, 2 methodological recommendations.
2013 – 78 publications. A total of 45 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2014 – 197 publications. A total of 22 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2015 – 120 publications (including 82 articles, 24 abstracts, 14 clinical protocols, methodological manuals, and recommendations). A total of 27 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2016 – 159 publications (including 2 monographs, 6 methodological recommendations and manuals, 1 clinical guideline, 113 articles, 37 abstracts, including 83 in international journals, among them 10 with impact factor indexed in Web of Science and Scopus). A total of 38 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2017 – 195 publications (including 2 monographs, 2 clinical guidelines, 64 articles, and 127 abstracts, including 35 in international journals, among them 8 with impact factor indexed in Web of Science and Scopus). A total of 56 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2018 – 245 publications (including 3 methodological recommendations, 145 articles, and 97 abstracts, including 103 in international journals, among them 13 with impact factor indexed in Web of Science and Scopus). A total of 29 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2019 – 180 publications (including 2 methodological recommendations, 99 articles, 79 abstracts, including 12 in international journals with impact factor indexed in Web of Science and Scopus). A total of 63 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2020 – 164 publications (including 2 methodological recommendations, 2 monographs, 1 guideline, 1 textbook, 84 articles, 74 abstracts, including 19 in international journals with impact factor indexed in Web of Science and Scopus). A total of 44 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2021 – 103 publications (including 2 methodological recommendations, 1 collection of statistical and analytical materials, 48 articles, and 52 abstracts, including 25 in international journals with impact factor indexed in Web of Science and Scopus). A total of 31 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2022 – 118 publications, including 57 articles and 60 abstracts; of these, 39 were in Kazakhstani journals (36 articles, 3 abstracts), 77 in international journals (20 articles, 57 abstracts), including 26 publications (20 articles and 6 abstracts) in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and Springer; additionally, 1 collection of statistical and analytical materials. A total of 28 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2023 – 98 publications, including 40 articles and 51 abstracts (17 articles and 7 abstracts in international journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus), 1 collection of statistical and analytical materials, and 1 textbook. Five methodological recommendations were published. A total of 30 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process.
2024 – 147 publications, including 1 monograph, 5 methodological recommendations, 24 articles in international journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus (including 13 in Q1–Q2 quartiles with percentile ≥50%, and 11 in Q3–Q4 quartiles with percentile <50%); 27 articles in journals recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 90 abstracts (including 88 in international publications, 13 of which are indexed in Web of Science and Scopus). A total of 40 implementation acts were introduced into healthcare practice and the educational process, including 14 within KazNIIOiR and 26 in other organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Patents and Certificates of Authorship
From 2012 to 2023, the Institute’s staff filed and obtained 39 patents for inventions and/or utility model patents approved by the Committee for Intellectual Property Rights of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, currently the National Institute of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Kazakhstan; as well as 4 Eurasian patents for inventions, approved by the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) in 8 countries.
Between 2012 and 2024, a total of 425 scientific developments (implementation acts), new medical technologies developed by the Institute’s staff, as well as technologies adopted from abroad and introduced into the oncology service of Kazakhstan, were implemented in healthcare practice, including: 2012 – 12, 2013 – 45, 2014 – 22, 2015 – 27, 2016 – 38, 2017 – 56, 2018 – 29, 2019 – 63, 2020 – 44, 2021 – 31, 2022 – 28, 2023 – 30, 2024 – 40.

Rating Results
According to the rating assessment conducted by the Salidat Kairbekova National Scientific Center for Health Development (based on research and innovation performance among 20 research institutes and clinical centers), the institution held the following positions: 4th place in 2017, 2nd place in 2018, 3rd place in 2019, 1st place in 2020, 2nd place in 2021, 1st place in 2022, and 1st place in 2023.
